The Workshop, designed to provide updated information and to critically discuss current trends on synthetic and conformational aspects of bioactive peptides, will deal in the 14th edition with the general subject: "The Renaissance era of Pepitdes in Drug Discovery".

The more relevant aim of the various editions of the Naples Workshops has always been that of gathering peptide chemists interested in the Structure-Activity Relationships in Bioactive Peptides in order to facilitate information and contacts among people involved in similar or contigous researches. The scientific content of the presentations, given through the years, has always been up to the state of the art of the several specific aspects involved. Each time the investigations presented were indeed representative examples of emerging subjects, which highlighted the field of continuously increasing biologically relevant and "man-made" peptide systems. In this edition, the focus is on the renaissance era of Peptides in different fields of drug discovery, with a particular attention on industrial applications. In addition, a satellite meeting wil be held on miRNA and PNA analogues, and their application in tumour diseases.
