NTCB is a small molecule cyanylating reagent, which can be used for the activation of Cysteine and subsequent peptide hydrazide formation but also for the biorthogonal generation of Dehydroalanine via an E2 elimination reaction. This compound is light and moisture sensitive and should be stored under inert gas atmosphere.
