In this special TentaGel® resin a PEG spacer of 3000 Da is attached to the polystyrene matrix by a cleavable ether linkage. The PEGylated compound can easily be cleaved from the polystyrene support using 10 mL cleavage cocktail per gram resin of either a) TFA/thioanisole (95:5) (12 hours at room temperature), or b) TFA/trimethylsilyl bromide/thioanisole (94:1:5) (1 hour at room temperature) and will yield a PEG alcohol.
