Reported as substrate for APEX2, an engineered ascorbate peroxidase that enables proximity-dependent labeling of proteins in living cells. Biotin-naphthylamine represents a novel probe with higher labeling reactivity towards proteins and nucleic acids. Btn-Nap could label both double-stranded and single-stranded DNA.
