Traditional supports such as Polystyrene and PEG resins face significant challenges, such as poor swellability and instability in acidic solutions. To address these issues, Li-Resin was developed, offering several advantages.
Li-Resin exhibits uniform swellability in most polar organic solvents and demonstrates robust chemical stability against strong acids and bases. This results in a stable resin bed during synthesis, ensuring better quality bio-molecules. Additionally, Li-Resin swells well in water and aqueous buffers, facilitating chemical manipulation and biochemical applications like on-resin screening and affinity chromatography.
Li-Resin consists of tiny sticks which make solvent flow through easily. Gentle shaking or mixing by bubbling Nitrogen through the suspension is recommended rather than vigorous mixing with a stirrer or a magnetic bar.
