The ETB linker can be used for synthesizing C-terminal acid peptides. Its safety-catch mechanism ensures stability during SPPS conditions. Upon oxidation of the sulfinyl group, the peptide is cleaved using a secondary amine through a â-elimination reaction, allowing for peptide release from the solid support without the need for trifluoroacetic acid.
