Superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticle grafted with an alkyl chloride surface, available as suspension in DMSO; crystallite size 11-17 nm; chlorine content 10-25 Cl / nm2. Hydrophobic, magnetic, miscible in DMF and DMSO, not miscible in water. Typical applications are imaging, diagnostics, pollutant removal, catalysis, magnetic sorting, nanomedicine and carriers in biomedical applications.
