Peptide linkers usually are cleaved under acidic conditions or using two-step procedures. Photocleavage proceeds under neutral conditions using UV light and can either be performed in batch or using flow chemistry.

Peptide linkers are usually cleaved under acidic conditions or using two-step procedures. Photocleavage proceeds under neutral conditions using UV light and can either be performed in batch or using flow chemistry. Furthermore, photolabile linkers are orthogonal to standard peptide chemistry reaction conditions, thus enabling the use of a wide variety of amino acid protecting groups.

Two different photolabile linkers are available for your convenience:

  • Photo-linker for the synthesis of C-terminal carboxylic acids
  • Fmoc-amino photo-linker for the production of C-terminal carboxamides
