description

Biotin conjugated benzylguanine (BG). The BG moiety reacts specifically and rapidly with the so-called SNAP-tag, a polypeptide protein tag, allowing irreversible and covalent labeling of SNAP fusion proteins with biotin. Biotinylated proteins can for example be selectively isolated based on the high affinity towards avidin representing a useful tool for purification, immobilization, and labeling.
