Base Resins
The basis resins for SPOC/SPPS are equipped with functional groups that allow the generation of a very stable bond to the molecules attached to the solid support, which can only be cleaved under extremely harsh conditions.
Therefore, these resins are usually not employed directly in SPPS, but serve as basis for further modification, e.g. with a suitable linker that can be cleaved under mild conditions.
